Tracey is a writer, editor, and instructional designer. She loves words and how they work and play together. She enjoys transforming ideas into words that inform, inquire, and inspire.
Tracey seeks out projects that teach her new things, satisfy her curiosity, and engage her interests in education, health, service journalism, social issues and — most importantly — in people’s stories. A recent career highlight was collaborating with the publishing team and over 100 authors as the professional editor of Truth Be Told: An Anthology of Inspirational Stories by Women in the Law, which launched in November 2018.
Tracey was an English as a second language teacher in China, Macedonia, Morocco, and the United Arab Emirates for 15 years, which helped her build a strong background in cultural sensitivity, diversity, and inclusion. She also uses her expertise in education to develop courses and training materials for educational institutions and other clients on topics including professional development and leadership.
Tracey actively works to build vibrant local editing and writing communities through work with Editors Edmonton (the local group of Editors Canada), the Writers’ Guild of Alberta, and the International Association of Business Communicators Edmonton. She also likes to travel the world in books and on airplanes.
